Report to the French government – Assessment Article 116 of the NRE law on reporting

The French government has requested in July 2003 from L’Observatoire de la Responsabilité Sociétale des Entreprises (ORSE ) , Entreprises pour l'Environnement (EpE) and l'OREE to establish a critical assessment of the application of article 116 of the NRE law and associated decree. An analysis of following issues was requested:

• The problems companies encountered when applying the law ;
• The relevence of published information (i.e. in the view of various stakeholders);
• International practice of « sustainability » reporting. The Observatoire de la Responsabilité Sociétale des Entreprises (ORSE ), Entreprises pour l'Environnement (EpE) and OREE, have now published their report .
