ORSE'S WORK

Presentation of ORSE’s work since its creation (2000-2006)

Since it was founded in June 2000, ORSE applied itself to:

  • Making CSR tools that will impact the operations of companies and of their stakeholders (investors, employees) more comprehensible. ORSE’s work focused on the following tools:
. Rating of companies (assessment of rating agencies and of analysis methodologies)
. Reporting (NRE evaluation, GRI follow up, study on international social reporting)
. Codes of conduct (exchange between members)
. Certification of reports (confrontation of points of view)
. Standardization (participation to AFNOR and ISO working groups)
  • Identifying the various stakes of CSR by relying on the stakeholders constellation:
. Investors (companies performance and governance)
. Employees (gender equality, trade unions implication and social indicators)
. Suppliers (procurement policy and relations with SMEs)
. Civil society (strategic partnerships NGO/Enterprises, AIDS, Human Rights)
  • Allowing ORSE’s members to be more present on the international scene through a better knowledge of CSR regulation bodies:
. UN’s Global Compact, ILO, OECD
    . ISO on standardization
    . GRI on reporting
. European commission’s green book and multistakeholder’s forum.
